In an interview with American journalist Sharyl Attkisson, Trump answered questions about Iran and, when asked why the US has not yet managed to seize the enriched uranium in Iran's possession, replied: “At some point we will get it, we are keeping it under surveillance. You know, I founded something called the Space Force and they monitor everything there.” he replied.
Trump said of the location where the uranium is located: “We monitor it very closely. If anyone comes near this location, we will find out about it and we will blow them up.” he said.
Trump argued that Iran was “militarily defeated” and claimed that if the US withdrew from the region today, it would take 20 years to rebuild Iran.
Responding to a question about the Strait of Hormuz, Donald Trump said: “We don't need the Strait. We did this to help Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and others. We have a 1 percent share of the use of the Strait and we did it as a favor.” he said.
Trump pointed out that many NATO states use the Strait of Hormuz, described NATO as a “paper tiger” and criticized it for not siding with the US against Iran.
