In his written statement, Minister Uraloğlu evaluated the aircraft, passenger and cargo data from the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) for April.
Stating that the number of aircraft taking off and landing at passenger and environmentally friendly airports last month was 83,603 on domestic routes and 67,510 on international routes, Uraloğlu noted that air traffic including flyovers reached 183,876.

Istanbul Airport accommodated more than 25 million passengers
Uraloğlu stated that air traffic at Istanbul Airport, one of Türkiye's mega projects, reached 43,467 in April, of which 9,604 were on domestic routes and 33,863 were on international routes. Uraloğlu noted that Istanbul Airport handled 6 million 573 thousand 741 passengers, including 1 million 339 thousand 793 on domestic routes and 5 million 233 thousand 793 on international routes.
