The decisions on the expropriation of the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs (MAPEG) of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources were published in the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, MAPEG, which examined TPAO's application, decided to expropriate various parcels in Ergene District of Tekirdağ, Silivri District of Istanbul and Lüleburgaz District of Kırklareli, which are necessary for the oil process and whose expropriation is in the public interest, which cannot be acquired by mutual consent due to the demand for a price above the current market value and for which urgent confiscation decisions are made.
In addition, it was decided to expropriate the land required for the construction of the oil and natural gas pipeline in TPAO's license areas on the borders of Tekirdağ, Adıyaman and Kırklareli.
