The application period for the 2026 Rural Development Investment Program has begun

Minister Yumaklı made a statement regarding the application period for the 2026 Rural Development Investment Program.

Stating that they have implemented many new regulations with the program, which they call a “new era” in rural development investments, Yumaklı said: “Under the program, we provide our entrepreneurs with a huge budget of 10 billion lira to support production, employment and technological change in rural areas. Unlike previous years, this year we are increasing both our grant rate and the limit of the project amount that receives grants. In this context, projects range from 100,000 lira to 30 million lira.” Lira, including VAT, are applied as a percentage. “We will provide 50-70% of the grants.”

“We will provide at least 20 percent for our young women and entrepreneurs”

Emphasizing that under the program there will be support in many areas, from modern greenhouses and animal production facilities to agricultural technologies, aquaculture, beekeeping and modern irrigation systems, Yumaklı continued as follows:

“We also have good news for our young and women entrepreneurs and family businesses. We will allocate at least 20 percent of our program budget to our young and women entrepreneurs and 30 percent to our ministry.”

Yumaklı explained that the investments to be supported under the program include processing, packaging and storage of agricultural products, vegetative production in a closed environment (high tunnel, modern greenhouse, cultivated mushrooms), cattle, sheep and poultry farming and slaughterhouses, aquaculture, fertilizers of animal and plant origin, common machinery park for agricultural organizations, beekeeping, agricultural information systems (smart agricultural technologies, sensor systems and artificial intelligence-based solutions, others Information systems), sericulture and investments in the use of renewable energy include energy resources. He noted that there were many titles.

The subsidy rate is 50-70 percent

Under the program, which aims to accelerate transformation in agriculture by supporting digitalization and advanced technology applications as well as classic production investments, the lower limit of the grant-based project amount is set at 100,000 lira and the upper limit at 30 million lira, while the upper limit for family businesses is 8 million lira.

The funding rate for accepted projects is 50-70 percent. In this context, young people receiving training in the relevant field can benefit from 70 percent subsidy support, first-degree agricultural organizations from 70 percent subsidy support, investments in organized agricultural zones will benefit from 70 percent subsidy support, and women and youth as well as those whose investment location is villages, cities or rural areas will benefit from 60 percent subsidy support.

An additional subsidy of 5 percent is granted for renewable energies and automation. The grant is based on the project total including VAT. The new regulation aims not only to increase production capacity, but also to support innovative areas such as data-based production, smart agricultural applications, automation and robotic systems.

In addition, under economic agricultural irrigation systems, 50-70 percent subsidies are provided for investments up to 10 million lira, including VAT, as the cap of the subsidy-based project. In this context, it has also become clear for which investment topics subsidies are granted. Drip irrigation, sprinklers, micro-sprinklers, subsurface drip irrigation under the name “Infield Systems”, center-pivot linear irrigation systems, drum irrigation systems under the name “Mechanical Large Systems”, solar-powered irrigation, intelligent irrigation and automation systems under the name “Renewable Energy” and technology-oriented systems are supported.

At least 20 percent of the program budget will be used for investments by women and young entrepreneurs. For applications in districts where the agricultural water table is inadequate and water scarcity has been identified, a grant of 70 percent will be awarded for all topics. All producers and entrepreneurs who want to invest in rural areas can apply until June 12th.
