The stock market ended the day at a record high

While the BIST 100 index increased by 184.94 points compared to the previous close, the total transaction volume was 188.1 billion lira.

While the banking index lost 0.59 percent in value, the holding index gained 0.17 percent.

Among industry indices, the biggest gainer was finance leasing factoring at 6.16 percent, while food and beverage was the biggest loser at 1.64 percent.

Global markets are following a negative trend despite news that Iran has made a new offer of reconciliation after US President Donald Trump announced over the weekend that he had suspended negotiations with Iran. Investors' focus turned to the monetary policy decisions to be announced by major central banks later this week.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index broke the record high of 14,621.97 points during the day despite the negative trend on the European stock markets and ended the day with a positive trend at a record level of 14,594.01.

Analysts said that the data agenda tomorrow will be quiet in the country and that the data of the US housing price index, the Richmond Fed manufacturing index and the New York Fed consumer confidence index will be followed abroad. They noted that 14,700 and 14,800 points in the BIST 100 index technically represent resistance, while 14,500 and 14,400 points represent support.
