According to the “Turkish Electronic Communications Sector Quarterly Market Data Report” of the Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK) of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, in the fourth quarter of last year, according to MHRS, the institutions whose short numbers were most frequently called were plumbing emergencies, electrical malfunctions, police emergencies, inter-police-metropolitan-municipal communication centers, and water disorders.
When evaluating data from the three largest mobile phone providers Türkiyes, the short number most frequently called by subscribers of Türk Telekom (TT Mobil), Vodafone and Turkcell was recorded as 182.
Calls originating from TT Mobile included 186 electrical trouble numbers, 112 plumbing emergencies, 153 police/metropolitan/municipal numbers and 185 water trouble numbers.
Other short numbers most frequently called by Vodafone subscribers are Hospital Appointment, Power Outage, Plumbing Emergency, Hello Police/City/Municipality and Work Life Communication Center.
Apart from MHRS, Turkcell users mainly dialed the short numbers for sanitation emergencies, power disruptions, water disruptions and “Hello Police/City/Municipality”.
The country where the most traffic was sent and received was Germany
On the other hand, during the same period, 5.2 billion short messages (SMS) and 23.3 million multimedia messages (MMS) were sent by subscribers of TT Mobile, Vodafone and Turkcell.
Germany took first place among the 5 countries to which the most landline traffic was sent in the fourth quarter of last year. Germany was followed by England, the Netherlands, the USA and Iran as the countries to which the most traffic was sent.
In addition, Germany ranked first among the countries with the most traffic. This country was followed by France, the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Austria.
During the period in question, the country that overall sent the most traffic from mobile networks was Germany, and the country that received the most traffic was the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
