After hitting the low of 12,622.55 points and the high of 13,078.32 points, the BIST 100 index closed the week at 12,936.35 points, 1.88 percent above the previous week's closing price.
The gram selling price of 24-karat gold bars traded in the Grand Bazaar rose 5.71 percent to 6,000,705 lira this week, and the selling price of republic gold rose 5.67 percent to 45,000,174 lira.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 10,625 lira last weekend, increased by 5.71 percent to 11,231 lira.
This week, the US dollar rose 0.30 percent to 44.5920 lira and the euro rose 0.46 percent to 51.5430 lira.
Mutual funds rose 1.08 percent and pension funds rose 1.26 percent this week.
When viewed by category, the “Precious Metal Funds” were the biggest winners at 2.59 percent.
