According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security statement, Işıkhan traveled to Slovenia to establish various contacts and sign the Social Security Agreement between the Republic of Türkiye and the Republic of Slovenia.
At the signing ceremony of the agreement, Işıkhan expressed his satisfaction with the signing of the agreement, which was made ready for signing in a short time through the mutual constructive approach of the technical delegations of both countries.
Stating that the need for the agreement has become even clearer through the projects that Turkish companies have recently carried out in Slovenia and their increasing economic interaction, Minister Işıkhan said: “The completion of the process is of great importance not only in terms of commercial cooperation, but also in terms of protecting the rights and interests of citizens of both countries.” he said.
Işıkhan stated that the signed agreement will contribute to the protection and development of the existing rights of citizens and insured persons of both countries and will also allow the acquisition of new rights:
“Social security agreements, which are historic in terms of bilateral relations and are expected to remain in force for decades, are important instruments that promote mutual investment and cooperation and facilitate human mobility. I believe that this step will further strengthen our relations based on friendship and alliance and strengthen the closeness between our peoples.”
Pointing out that Türkiye is always open to constructive cooperation and that they will continue to work to further develop relations, Işıkhan said: “Under the leadership of our esteemed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey continues its efforts to develop humanitarian and peaceful solutions to regional and global problems. We attach importance to being the voice of the victims and the oppressed without discrimination to end the conflicts.” he said.
After the speech, Minister Işıkhan and Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister and Slovenian Minister of Labor, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities Luka Mesec signed the social security agreement between the two countries.
