The goal is to award 5,000 start-ups with the “Technopreneurship Badge” this year.

According to the compilation of the “2026 Performance Program,” the ministry continues its policies and practices with determination, aiming to strengthen domestic and national capacities in industry and technology, promote high-value-added production and advanced technology, give priority to regional and balanced development, and make Türkiye a highly competitive manufacturing and technology base.

In this context, it is envisaged that the number of R&D personnel under the programs to be supported in the R&D center and in the technology development zones will be increased to 3,400 by 2026.

While 15 technology development zones are planned to be supported this year, 1,420 research and development centers, 366 design centers and 99 technology development zones are expected to be put into operation. In addition, the number of companies in technology development zones is expected to increase to 13,250 this year, while 7,000 projects are planned to be completed in these regions.

The goal is 250 fast charging stations by 2026

With the support of the Ministry, efforts to expand electric vehicle charging stations across the country will continue.

The program to promote technological product investments and the program to promote rapid charging infrastructure for electric vehicles developed in this context were opened for application between April 15, 2022 and June 15, 2022 and the contract periods ended on January 31, 2024.

Likewise, a second supplementary announcement called “Fast Charging Infrastructure Support Call for Electric Vehicles” was made, which aimed to expand the charging infrastructure network in the provinces and districts that were not within the scope of the first call.

With these studies, investments to increase the number of high-speed electric vehicle charging stations installed across the country are in full swing. In this context, it is planned that the number of fast charging stations will be 250 this year.

While the number of startups accepted into the Turcorn 100 program is planned to increase from 35 to 80, the number of startups awarded with the Technopreneurship badge is expected to reach 5,000, and the number of startups benefiting from the Türkiye Tech Visa program is expected to reach 75.

The Ministry continues its activities to promote investments and plans to issue 7,000,347 incentive certificates in 2025 and 5,000,900 certificates in 2026. On the other hand, the goal is to increase the number of investment incentive certificates that benefit from interest support to 2,800.

While the share of investment incentive certificates issued to the manufacturing sector in the total amount of investment incentive certificates is expected to be 50 percent this year, it is planned to increase the number of projects supported under the project-based incentive system to 14. The share of investment incentive certificates issued for high and medium technology investments in the amount of investment incentive certificates in the manufacturing sector is expected to be 44 percent this year.

As part of this year's activities, the number of tested and tested products is expected to increase to 480 and the number of testing of measuring instruments to 252,000.
