The inspection teams of the Diyarbakır Provincial Directorate of Commerce, together with the inspection teams of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, carried out unfair price increases and price tag controls at butcher shops operating in four central districts and Ergani.
In total, fines amounting to 377,000 435 lira were imposed
The following statements were used in the contribution to information about the controls:
“As part of unfair price increase controls, 379 products were checked in 37 companies. Defense was requested from 33 companies found to be offering for sale lamb meat and its derivatives between 700 lira and 900 lira. As part of the price tag controls, 264 products were examined in 32 companies and 95 products from 21 companies were found to be in violation of the legislation. In this context, a total administrative penalty was imposed of 377 thousand 435 lira were imposed.”
After the companies raise objections as a result of the inspections, the matter will be referred to the Unfair Price Assessment Committee through the Ministry of Commerce.
