Thomas Regnier, one of the spokespersons for the EU Commission, answered journalists' questions at the daily press conference.
Asked whether steps are being taken across the EU to impose a social media ban on children, Regnier said studies are being carried out on the issue with member states.
Regnier said: “The EU Commission is currently keeping all doors open. A committee of experts is currently being formed to advise us. Afterwards it will be decided whether a step will be taken.” gave the information.
Regnier explained that all options had been examined and that an inclusive approach to the studies had been adopted, pointing out that the experts would come from different areas and there was no clear timetable yet.
