The ministry's written statement on the matter said that the awards will evaluate individuals, media organizations, companies and scientific studies that contribute to the development of consumer awareness.
The statement said applications have begun for the “Consumer Awards”, which the ministry will award for the 29th time, and said: “The awards will be awarded taking into account the activities in 2025 in six sectors, with the aim of improving consumer awareness, encouraging consumers to exercise their legal rights, encouraging companies to take into account consumers' wishes and preferences, and promoting scientific studies on consumer law or consumer protection.” Expressions were used.
The statement noted that the awards will be presented in the categories of “scientific study”, “printed media”, “radio and television program”, “conscious consumer”, “consumer special” and “company that adopts consumer satisfaction as a principle” and emphasized that applications should be submitted by 5.30 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026.
It was noted that candidates/nominees may apply for a maximum of one of the award categories and noted the following:
