Radio communication plays a crucial role in the tasks and activities of the police.
ASELSAN, Türkiye's leading defense industrial and technology company, with its many years of experience, provides radio services with a focus on critical mission communications and secure communications for the police, especially the General Directorate of Security.
The police's existing analogue radio systems are also integrated into KETUM, using new generation radios and the most secure communication technologies. This makes the organization's communication infrastructure stronger and more effective.
The mobile communication vehicle in the system ensures uninterrupted radio communication of the General Directorate of Security during disasters and emergencies.
KETUM can be operated 24 hours a day
Manufactured with a high localization rate, the vehicle provides radio communication and data transmission via satellite through integration with the PolNet infrastructure and the encrypted national DMR digital radio systems in the provinces. For example, it can be integrated into the Ankara system from Istanbul and participate in communications in the capital.
The vehicle can ensure radio communication within a range of 15 to 30 kilometers around the vehicle with its analog and encrypted digital radio repeaters.
The mobile communication vehicle can provide telephone communication in all directions via satellite through integration with the central telephone exchange systems of the General Directorate of Security.
Data communication can be achieved by integrating PolNet over GSM lines.
Thanks to the systems in the vehicle, it is possible to communicate via satellite phone, manage the radios within the coverage area and monitor the location of the radios via the Geographic Analysis System.
The coverage area can be increased thanks to the mobile communications vehicle's 11-meter-tall, elevating electric control mechanism and two extendable antenna towers.
Thanks to the generator, the vehicle can operate 24 hours a day without the need for external energy.
In a possible earthquake scenario, the mobile communications vehicle can replace any system if it fails and continue communications as a system itself, as well as integrate with existing systems.
