Turkish representatives of global technology companies with investments in Türkiye gathered at the “Technology Ecosystem Strategic Dialogue Meeting” held in Ankara in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Directorate of Science and Technology Policy and the Artificial Intelligence Policy Association (AIPA), with the participation of the General Directorate of National Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey.
Opening the meeting, Ambassador Hami Aksoy, Director General of Technology Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said: “The rapid developments in technology and science in recent years have had a transformative effect on international relations. Technological change, which has become a strategic area for states, has, of course, changed diplomatic practices and as a result, we have been introduced to the concept of “technological diplomacy”. Our ministry and our missions abroad quickly adapted to this change and began to contribute. We have the feedback We receive input from the private sector that can shape our relationships not only locally but also internationally. He thanked the participants for accepting the invitation.
Sadullah Uzun, Director General of National Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, stated that “with their open door policy, they communicate at a high level with all global companies and support companies that want to serve the global market together through research and development in Turkey,” noting that “the feedback from private sector representatives is sensitively evaluated.”
AIPA President Zafer Küçükşabanoğlu expressed that he was “pleased to contribute to the interaction between the private sector and the public” and emphasized the constructive role of non-governmental organizations in showing the world Türkiye's potential in the field of technology and developing bilateral relations; He informed about the activities organized by AIPA to improve communication and interaction between local, national, regional and global artificial intelligence communities.
It was agreed at the meeting that continuing the strategic dialogue meeting in the technology ecosystem at regular intervals would contribute to deepening communication between the public and private sectors.
