150 Palestinians were injured in attacks by the Israeli occupying army

The governor of Tubas, Ahmed al-Assad, informed about the Israeli attack that began on November 26 in the city of Tubas, as well as in the city of Tammun and the Faria refugee camp.

Assad stated that the Israeli army had completely withdrawn from the city of Tubas and surrounding areas, saying that 350 Palestinian houses had been raided, infrastructure had been damaged and the water network in the city of Tammun had been destroyed.

Assad said: “As the occupying army withdraws from all regions of the province and evacuates the houses it has converted into military zones, damage assessment efforts continue.” he said.

Assad said that the number of Palestinians injured during the Israeli army attack was over 150 and that most of these people were beaten by Israeli soldiers.

Assad said that 100 of the injured Palestinians were taken to the Turkish hospital, including an 85-year-old Palestinian, and that one person was attacked by a military dog in the Faria refugee camp.

Assad noted that the Israeli army opened fire on the city of Tammun and the Faria refugee camp with Apache attack helicopters during the attacks, saying that some buildings were hit in the attacks.

Assad said that while more than 200 Palestinians were arrested in the Israeli raid, some of them were released and about 70 people were still detained.

Tammun Mayor Samir Besharat said the Israeli army had completely withdrawn from the region, evacuating houses converted into military bases and six people were still detained.

When the Israeli army announced on November 26 that it had launched a full-scale attack on the town of Tubas in the north of the occupied West Bank, it told the town in Arabic: “Your region has become a hotbed of terrorism. The Israeli army cannot remain indifferent to this. If it continues, you will end up like Jenin and Tulkerim.” He had placed advertisements with written threats.

Since Israel launched its attack on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, there has been an increase in arrests, raids and attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

It is stated that 1,085 Palestinians lost their lives, 11,000 people were injured and more than 21,000 people were arrested in the West Bank in the ongoing attacks by the Israeli army and the Israelis usurping Palestinian land since October 2023.
