Three people have died in a magnitude 5.5 earthquake in Bangladesh

The US Geological Survey (USGS) said the epicenter of the earthquake was about 14 kilometers southwest of Narsingdi.

According to the statement, the magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred at a depth of about 10 kilometers.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department said the magnitude of the earthquake, which struck about 25 kilometers from the capital Dhaka, was 5.7.

According to the Bangladesh-based Dhaka Tribune newspaper, authorities reported that three people died after falling under the railing of a building in Dhaka.

It was stated that the earthquake was felt in many regions.
