The number of depositors with funds over 1 million lira, which was 2 million 7 thousand 928 at the end of 2024, increased by 728 thousand 487 in 9 months.
The total deposits of these depositors reached 20 trillion 108 billion 579 million lira at the end of September. Thus, the average deposit per depositor was 7 million 348.5 thousand liras.
The total deposits of these depositors, which stood at 14 trillion 786 billion 648 million liras in December last year, increased by 5 billion 321 billion 931 million liras compared to the end of the year.
As of September, there were 12 trillion 33 billion 65 million liras of the deposits of domestic depositors with 1 million liras or more in domestic currency, 4 trillion 859 billion 191 million liras in foreign currency deposit accounts and 1 trillion 837 billion 79 million liras in precious metal deposit accounts.
With this, the total deposits of domestic depositors reached 18 trillion 729 billion 336 million. The average deposit per depositor resident in the country was calculated at 7 million 430.4 thousand liras.

According to BRSA data, the number of overseas-based depositors with 1 million lira or more in their accounts rose to 215,764 in September. While the number of depositors in question increased by 36,770 people compared to December, the amount of money in their accounts increased by 264 billion 918 million lira.
Of the deposits of foreign depositors in banks, 409 billion 511 million liras were in local currencies, 894 billion 851 million liras were in foreign currencies and 74 billion 881 million liras were in precious metal deposits.
With this, the total deposits of depositors resident abroad reached 1 trillion 379 billion 243 million lira.
The average deposit per depositor residing abroad was calculated at 6 million 392.4 thousand liras.
