The written statement from the Ministry of Health in Gaza released the latest data on deaths and injuries in Israeli attacks, as well as bodies recovered from the rubble.
It was stated that in the last 24 hours, the lifeless body of a person recovered from the rubble, three people who lost their lives in the new attacks and seven injured people arrived in hospitals in the Gaza Strip.
It was stated that a total of 240 people lost their lives, 607 people were injured and 511 bodies were recovered from the rubble in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire began.
It was reported that the death toll in the attacks that Israel launched on the Gaza Strip on October 8, 2023 reached 68,872 and the number of injured reached 170,677.
It is said that thousands of dead are still lying under the rubble in the Gaza Strip.
Gaza ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement
US President Donald Trump announced on October 9 that Israel and Hamas had agreed to the first phase of the ceasefire plan in Gaza during ongoing negotiations in Egypt.
While the agreement was signed and negotiated in Egypt, it entered into force on October 10 with the approval of the Israeli government.
It was announced that the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip came into force at 12:00 on the same day, after the Israeli army withdrew from the “yellow line” as stipulated in the agreement.
Despite the ceasefire reached in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army occasionally attacks Palestinians under various allegations.
