For the 47th Antarctic Treaty consultation meeting (ATCM) organized by Italy, Minister Kacır in Milan gave a reception for the delegation of the advisory countries of the Antarctic contract regulation for the delegation of consulting countries in the Antarctic.
Minister Kacır met with the representatives of 28 countries at the reception in his speech information about the work of Türkiye in the direction of Antarctica in recent years.
“On the basis of scientific expertise, diplomatic accumulation and company maturity, we have so far won that Torkiye is preparing to apply for a consultant status as part of the Antarctic Treaty.” Kacır said this step will enable them to play a more active role in the future of this continent and to offer new opportunities for what they have.
At the reception, the guests were shown the video of Türkiye's scientific studies in Antarctica and served from the prominent flavors of Turkish cuisine.
