7,000,400 researchers benefited from the Super Computer from Türkiye

According to information received by Tubitak, Truba, which has been serving Türkiye for 22 years, offers a high success calculation (YBH) and data storage services for academic institutions, public institutions and private sectors in the country and forms the digital backbone of scientific and technological production.

Truba is not just a supercomputer, but as a strategic infrastructure that was developed in accordance with the scientific and technological independence, international competition and the digital transformation goals by Türkiye.

The system, which serves more researchers every year, continues to grow with sustainable technology investments and supports the scientific production of the country. The number of users rose quickly with the integration of the ARF super computer last year, especially last year.

The competitiveness of Türkiye forms

Truba, which has become one of the most comprehensive research infrastructures in Türkiye with 80,000 processor seeds, 312 Petabyte data storage areas this year, enables critical studies that can be carried out in many areas from artificial intelligence to the calculation of physics and climate models.

With the capacity of approximately 40,000 laptops, Truba accelerates research by concluding months of calculations for laptops within a few hours.

So far, more than 7,000 400 researchers have benefited from the systems of 450 different users per week. Truba increases Türkiye's competitiveness in national and international projects with a monthly trading volume of 46 million core.

At the same time, ARF-ACC took 26th place in the Green500 list published in November 2024 and was in energy efficiency in the top ranks in the world.

Capacity increase in 2025

Last year, the GPU integration of the second phase was carried out to the ARF system in Tuba and the ARF ACC cluster was commissioned. This direct, liquid -cooled infrastructure, which is optimized for artificial intelligence applications, offers high performance in terms of performance and energy efficiency.

In the third phase, which is to be commissioned in August 2025, the 192 GPU from 192 generation H200 aims to further increase the capacity. With this new investment, the services of Truba are to be strengthened for both artificial intelligence and data -intensive scientific practices.

It is planned that the new system will be positioned in a way that reacts to rising academic and sectoral requirements, and the complete capacity contracts will be concluded this year.
