With Bilsat, OSAT, Göktürk satellite and six resolution National Imaging Satellites, IMECE, Turkey is one of the countries that can design and produce its own satellites and the floor station for soil observations. The development of Turksat 6a with domestic facilities is seen as an important step towards creating the National Satellite brand.
It is of great importance to use existing satellite production, test and infrastructure resources for Turkey to evaluate human resources, prevent repeated investments and to build up a national satellite company that can compete with the world.
In this context, a “national satellite company” is intended to cease to commercialize F&-and production skills in satellite technologies and to contribute to national security.
With the founding of the national satellite company, the coordination is increased by collecting the public structures in the satellite ecosystem under one roof and the efficient use of human resources and infrastructures is provided. With these studies, Torkiye is expected to become more competitive in space and achieve a strong position on the international market.
Space Technopark is established
The aim is to build a strong ecosystem to achieve success in the defense industry in space technologies. While the Turkish Space Agency (TUA) is set up to the Ministry of Industry and Technology (TUA), a technologically oriented technology is commissioned to develop the qualified human resources and create a cooperation environment for technology development studies in this area.
The technological development activities required for the spatial policy of Türkiye are significantly carried out in this technopark. With the innovative technologies that are to be built in this technopark in Ankara, it is predicted that Torkiye receives more shares than the global space economy.
The use of space technologies in the defense industry is expected to increase significantly that the military and the defense capacity of Türkiye significantly offers a great advantage in critical areas such as border security, intelligence collection and operating planning thanks to the satellites with high resolution.
New support on the street
